About the Book

This book examines the complex and diverse ways in which women experience and practice religion in a globalized world. It challenges traditional notions of female religiosity and offers new insights into the role of women in shaping religious traditions.

The book brings together a range of scholars from different disciplines to explore the ways in which women's religious experiences and practices are shaped by transnational processes. These processes include migration, globalization, and the rise of new religious movements.

The book is divided into three parts. The first part examines the ways in which women's religious experiences and practices are shaped by migration. The second part explores the ways in which women's religious experiences and practices are shaped by globalization. The third part examines the ways in which women's religious experiences and practices are shaped by the rise of new religious movements.

This book is a valuable resource for scholars of religion, gender, and globalization. It is also a timely and important contribution to the growing body of literature on female religiosity.
